Can Our Diet Help With Our Wrinkles?

Wrinkles can be a pain, more emotionally then literal. As we age, our wrinkle count becomes traditionally higher and we can find ourselves depressed momentarily in front of the mirror.
Wrinkles though, are a part of life and there's nothing wrong with having them. Many of us would like to lose one or two and there are many ways to go about doing that, but what can we do, ourselves, to help our decrease our wrinkle number?

Superfoods as they are commonly known are foods that can have a great impact on your skin and overall health. When regarding aging skin and focusing on foods, it's best to learn what Flavonoids are.

Flavonoids are proven plant metabolites that work as an antioxidant, especially when it comes to refreshing the skin from the inside. The best sources of Flavonoids are all citrus fruits and berries - tea (green tea especially), wine and dark chocolate, with a cocoa content of seventy percent or more. Also Buckwheat is a grain that contains a great amount of vitamins and minerals, which can help our health quite alot, but it also flavonoids.

Despite there being a long list of foods that can help you out with wrinkles, the theory still remains. Our skin is the largest organ we have and we need to treat it alot of care. We can do this by getting rid of toxins and these Flavonoids are Antioxidants, meaning we can remove all the waste that leaves out skin looking wrinkly, by eating the right foods that assist us in a big and healthy way.

But do you have wrinkles and just wish for them to simply dissapear? See http://lotsofsolutions.com/tell-me-about-treating-aging-skin/ for an easy solution to lose those wrinkles!

What's The Best Way To Combat Aging Skin?

When the new year arrives, we all plan and make resolutions we hope to keep. One of the most common things we like to tackle is our appearance and general appeal. As we get older, our skin seems to become more of an importance to us and sometimes, it can be depressing, but it doesn't have to be.

Getting down towards healthy looking skin can either be a journey or a mountain trip and to comfort our time schedules or lack of patience, we prefer easy methods and guidelines. What many people tend to forget is the simple steps we already have embraced maybe once or twice, like cutting down on fatty foods and not staying in the sun too long.
Wearing a SPF sun cream while out in the hot seasons, plus looking for creams with high UVA ratings can act as a great form of protection for your skin health. Even if you feel that it isn't hot enough for sun cream, still put in on as more skin protection is better then no skin protection at all, especially from the sun.

Nowadays, when people want to get more technical about their aging skin, they don't necessarily have to, as the tips are all around us, either on commercials or billboards, etc. Attempting to stick towards five to eight glasses of water a day can keep our skin healthy and hydrated, plus recent studies have suggested that it is more of a myth for it to be just glasses of water, which means our normal schedule to drink hot drinks such as tea or coffee is acceptable. Of course, sticking to the pure source of fresh water is always going to prove the better.

Our foods are important too - greens, dairy, fruit and nuts are all too common to us as being part of a healthy diet, but look at it this way - healthy diet, healthy skin! Simply spending more time looking at labels of foods and researching vitamins can drastically help your lifestyle, along with your skin.

Are you looking to hop on the success boat and sail towards great looking skin? Check out http://lotsofsolutions.com/tell-me-about-treating-aging-skin/ for a few more tips on treating and tackling aging skin, today!

Anti Aging Skin Care Product Reviews

Since times immemorial, it has been a dream of every living soul to remain youthful throughout his or her life. People can go to any extent to ensure that their appearance remains comparable to that of an eighteen year old. Thankfully, now there are products to assist them in the pursuit for eternal youth.

A myriad of anti aging skin care products are available in supermarkets and cosmetic shops. Anything that is capable of reversing or at least arresting aging of skin can be classified as an anti aging skin care product. These include creams, lotions, pills, injections, massagers etc. It is very difficult to choose a suitable product because the variety befuddles most consumers.

Because of the ease of application and portability, anti aging creams are very popular with people concerned about aging of skin. There is no dearth of brands selling in this category either. Therefore, to ensure that you really benefit from an anti aging skin cream, you must decide which one to buy after reading anti aging cream reviews.

What you see is not what you get. Don't get duped by advertisements. Don't assume that an anti aging cream that is advertised in prime time commercials is a safe bet. Instead, take the pains to read several anti aging cream reviews before deciding whether the product is worth being tried.

Not all anti aging cream reviews are unbiased. To ensure that you are reading a review which is truthful and unbiased, make sure that you check the veracity on two counts: first whether the person writing the review is an acknowledged independent expert, and second whether facts are being reported or is the review just a piece of juxtaposed superlatives.

What should a review of an anti aging cream include? Well, it should first and foremost list the composition of the cream and explain each ingredient in detail. Second, it should explain what were the assumptions made in the conducted tests. It should then explain the results of the tests in percentage terms.

Anti aging cream reviews should also explain the variations in results obtained. For example, a wrinkle cream may produce wonderful results in a person with oily skin; however it may not be equally beneficial to a person with dry skin.

Where can you read anti aging cream reviews? Well, there are several sources where you can read such reviews. These include online forums, health magazines, and fitness related web portals. Some cosmetic industry associations also publish anti aging cream reviews in their journals.

Geoff Hopkins has worked in the anti wrinkle eye cream industry for years. He maintains websites about LifeCell Skin Care and anti wrinkle creams. If you want to contact him, you can use the contact for at one of his sites.

Anti Aging Face Cream: a Wide Variety to Choose From

Must Have Sun Protection
However, there are certain features that a good anti-aging face cream should have that may help you decide on using one particular cream. To begin with, the cream should have enough to protect your skin from the harsh rays of the sun because sunlight is damaging to the skin, and it will also cause wrinkles to appear and generally make the skin look more aged.
Since a face is constantly exposed to sunlight – more than any other part of the body - you would definitely require sun protection. You will also need to apply such products to your skin on a daily basis. In case you are using an anti-aging face cream that does not contain sun protection, make sure that you then also use a skin lotion with sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15.
Another term you may often hear is “cosmeceutical,” which is a cosmetic product that can not only make your skin look younger, but also helps in heal as well as change your skin cells. This is also something that your anti-aging face cream should have, and it will contain vitamins A, C, D as well a E and minerals such as selenium and zinc as also lycopene and antioxidants.
In addition, it will also contain extracts from herbs as well as compounds that will help to make the skin tone light. You will find a majority of the best anti aging face creams having these ingredients.
However, the most suitable anti aging face cream is one that will address individual needs the best. It means you will often need to select a product based on specific issues, and you should also familiarize yourself with the labels and instructions to understand how to use the products, which may also require consulting a health care professional if you are unsure about the product and its benefit to your skin.
You may have to pay a little more for such advice, but in the long term you will find that it will actually save you money as it will help narrow down the choices available to just a few ideally suited products.

Anti-Aging Herbs And There Usage

If you're considering surgery, Botox injections, or some other extreme method in your battle against Mother Nature and Father Time, first consider using some of these anti-aging herbs.
Many who have tried them report that they have gotten great results in the form of soft, smoother skin and more radiant glow to their face, the likes of which they haven't seen in years. Of course, not all anti-aging herbs are miracle cures, but it's always a good idea to try natural methods before going "under the knife" or trying something that could be dangerous to your overall health.
Red Clover
Red clover is thought to be one of the good anti-aging herbs because it contains estrogen-like features. This can help with menstrual pain or menopausal symptoms, but also helps skin that is showing signs of age due a decrease in female hormones, which typically leads to wrinkling and tiny lines. This herb is found in pill form in most health food stores.
Pearl
Pearls contain great anti-aging herbs on the inside of them; of course, you shouldn't go grinding up your pearl jewelry and smearing it on your face. The ingredients in pearls can be found in mists and sprays, and is used to exfoliate. These sprays report a rejuvenating effect for those who use them, as they polish away dead skin cells and moisturize the layers underneath.
While pearls are considered anti-aging herbs, they are not meant to be taken internally but are ingredients found in face polishes and creams. Never make the mistake that because they are often advertised as an herb that they should be ingested.
Ginseng
Ginsengs are wonderful anti-aging herbs because they work as an anti-inflammatory agent. These anti-aging herbs also work to stimulate energy in the body and can do the same in the face, so that the skin can repair itself; they boost the immune system and stimulate healing properties.
St. John's Wort
The best anti-aging herbs are those that can stimulate repair in the body, helping it along its own natural processes of rejuvenation. St. John's Wort seems to do just that, helping the body to calm and revitalize itself. It has been used for years as a treatment for depression and mood disorders, and to help those with chronic sleeplessness.
As with other anti-aging herbs, St. John's Wort works by encouraging the body to repair and refresh itself. It is not used as a face treatment or cream, but helps the body to work from the inside out. Many realize that stress and other negative emotions cause the body to age prematurely, and by eliminating these or helping someone cope better with them, St. John's Wort can help someone to have a more radiant glow from their skin.
Gotu Kola
Gotu Kola has been used for years in parts of India as a healing treatment and works as one of the anti-aging herbs by promoting restoration in the skin. As it helps to heal scars and burns, it also helps to stimulate the skin's natural healing and restorative properties.

How Collagen Protein Works The Natural Way

Collagen is the most important structural substance in our bodies aside from water. It accounts almost 30 % of its total protein. Our ligaments, tendons, bones, and muscles are held together by collagen, as well as blood vessels, teeth, cornea, digestive track and organs. Collagen is the main component of our hair, nails, and skins.
As we age, our body reduces the ability to produce collagen, as a result, it starts to breakdown in the form of sagging of skin, wrinkles, hair becomes gray, thinner, or dull; our joints are stiffer and less flexible. Supplementing with collagen protein is believed to provide our body with the amino acids needed to produce and support collagen. Without enough collagen supply, our body will fall apart. Collagen protein is the main substance of connective tissue and is present in all organisms. In mammals, collagen is the richest protein making up a quarter of the total weight of proteins. Collagen provides many different organs and tissues substantial, fat and elastic properties.
Collagen is a protein that enwraps the organs and parts of it hold specialized cells together in subtle units. It also prevents organs or tissues to break their functional shape when they are exposed to sudden movements, as well as, plays a regulating role in developing tissues. Collagen functions as a kind of trigger that influence the production and differentiation of unspecific cells. It has a key function of cell-type specific gene expression and development control and diseases like cancer.
Extremely different from other protein sources, collagen protein has a unique combination and proportion of amino acids, specifically, glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine. Collagen protein has been made known to have an effect on weight loss, bone and connective tissue, improvement of skin texture, best possible body growth and repair, better metabolism, increase of growth hormone secretion affecting fat loss, muscle retention, energy levels, softness and elasticity of the skin, improved sleep; healing of wounds, and helps support joint function. Just to clarify, collagen protein itself does not burn fat, what it does is increase boost your metabolism to its optimum state to do so. Collagen protein is originally used by doctors in skin disorders, but it is also believed that it plays a significant role in the structure and maintenance of bone and connective tissue.
One of the interesting things about collagen protein is that it is easy and safe to use. No fad diets, no drugs, no harmful stimulants, and no pills. Just a tablespoon or two of this good tasting liquid, only taken at bedtime is all that is needed. Furthermore, collagen is a purely occurring complete protein and is totally safe so you don't have to worry.

What Does Omega 3 And 6 Fatty Acids Do For Slowing Your Skin Aging?

If you haven't heard of Linoleic acid during your reading about anti aging, now is the time to listen up. This miracle brings another boost for many of us that are feeling the bite of aging not only in fine lines and wrinkles but along the waistline as well.

In fact, Linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid (an omega 6 fatty acid), may be one of the best gifts we can give ourselves when it comes to slowing skin aging. So what's it all about? Well, let's find out!

A diet that is rich in Linoleic acid was connected in a recent study with the prevention of or less signs of skin aging.

What did this study show? The women in the study who had more foods that were high in Linoleic acid were found to show less signs of aging that are linked to dryness. This doesn't mean that all signs of aging were negated by consuming foods that are high in Linoleic or other fatty acids.

As well as these skin benefits, adding Linoleic acid to your diet has been linked to better overall health and exceptionally better weight control. The possibility of working to diminish the signs of aging that we fight so diligently can only be seen as a bonus to something that is already a good thing.

How do you get enough of this good oil into your diet? You can work more Linoleic acid into your diet by consuming foods such as sunflower seeds, walnuts, soy beans, spirulina, fatty fish such as salmon, lamb, and kangaroo meat (particularly those that have been grass fed) and drinking cows milk (again it is much better to drink milk from cows that were grass fed as grass is the primary source of the Linoleic acid).

In fact, there have been many studies recently that cite the impact of diet on skin health. It would be prudent not to ignore these findings if you are concerned with the health of your skin, particularly if dryness is a factor, as it seems to be with Linoleic acid.

So there you have it.

As you can see, it's quite easy to add some of these foods to your diet and gain the benefits right away. So as usual, it's the wholesome unprocessed foods from nature that will help you regain great skin that's smooth and youthful looking.

You now know yet another way of improving your diet to include foods that are rich in essential oils to help you to reduce wrinkles and other signs of skin aging, and to have youthful skin for years to come!

Homemade Wrinkle Cream - How To Make Anti Wrinkle Cream At Home

We have numerous cosmetic products at our fingertips that claim to create an anti-aging process on our skin. Eye creams are particularly noticeable claiming to lighten dark circles, reduce wrinkles and illuminate puffiness around our eyes. The cosmetic industry has spent millions on eyes alone.
It can be overwhelming to read the results on these products and put your trust in them, as well as your hard earned money. Are there anti-aging eye cream alternatives? Absolutely! All cosmetics have a start somewhere other than the factories.
They come from your kitchen! That's right, there are numerous cosmetic recipes you can obtain right from your cupboards or refrigerators, they are easy to make and cost much less than the anti- aging eye creams at the department stores.

The following are several tried and true recipes to aid in the reversal of aging on the eyes. Be aware that your eyes are a very sensitive area and you should test and area before applying anything to the entire surface.
One of the first recipes is for an Avocado cream: Mix 5 drops of almond oil and 3 avocado slices. Make into a paste. Apply around the eyes and leave on for 5 minutes. Remove with warm water. Several other natural ways to lighten the area around the eyes are with slices of potatoes or cucumbers or to place soaked tea bags on your eyelids.
This is also very soothing to tired eyes. Make a Potato and Applesauce Cream by mixing 2 Tbsp of unsweetened applesauce with a small potato with a food processor. Apply around the eyes and cover with a washcloth dampened with warm water. Relax for 5-10 minutes then clean your face with warm water. Using Lemon juice can also aid in lightening dark circles around your eyes. Use a cotton ball to apply under your eyes avoiding getting the juice in your eye.

Using your common sense in the kitchen to produce your own anti-aging eye creams can produce as remarkable results as if you had spent hundreds in the department store. Most foods rich in anti-aging nutrients are applicable to your body externally as well as internally. Foods such as avocados, and olive oil are rich in oils that can blend these other ingredients to make them easy to apply.
Now you don't have to wait to go to the store, or pay extravagant prices for anti-aging creams again! All you have to do to reverse the aging process is go to the refrigerator!

Stop Wrinkles Before They Start

Anti-Aging Action.

It's the latest revolution in skincare. Virtually every skincare line is factoring in the use of anti-oxidants like Vitamin C Esther and Vitamin E products to counter-act the wrinkling and dry skin that comes with age. But the good news is the best way to harvest the anti-aging benefits of these anti-oxidants is in your diet.

Look out for foods like melons, cantaloupes, strawberries, spinach, apples and almonds to snack on. This is a case of beauty really coming from the inside. Always try and pick fruits and veggies that are bright in color for great anti-oxidant effects.

Dark, leafy green vegetables and berries are amazing. Try and eat a handful every day. Berries and nuts are an almost perfect combination and good for you in multiple ways.

And please don't forget that Omega 3's are good for you as well. Recent studies have shown that omega 3 fatty acids such as those found in salmon, mackerel, tuna, sardines and other fish as well as in walnuts and other sources are VERY beneficial for the skin. You can take omega 3's internally in capsule form as well in the form of fish or cod liver oil. Don't wrinkle your nose, modern technology renders the oil virtually tasteless or you can buy it in lemon flavor for instance. Be sure you get a good quality fish oil with NO MERCURY.

Don't despair on the topical applications either. Find a compounding pharmacy near you and ask them to make up a face cream that is fortified with vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin A.
Apply at least twice daily, morning and bedtime. Works just as well for men as for women.

Judge Judy: A Great Role Model For Older Women?

I Love Judge Judy. If every kid to had a no-nonsense Judge Judy type mother there would be fewer problems in the world.
However, I'm not sure she's a great role model for older women. This is why: Judge Judy was sharing her wisdom on the Larry King show, and the conversation turned to computers. Judy and Larry admitted they had never used a computer, and that's okay. When you have people who can do what you don't want to do or can't do - that's fine.
But here's the thing. Judy implied that she was too old to learn. She didn't say so in so many words, but that was her message, loud and clear. It should not have surprised me - on her show, she often makes comments about "getting old" or "being old." As smart as she is, she seems not to understand that you are what you say you are. Chronological "old" is one thing. Mental "old" is something else. You can't control the former but you are in full control of the latter as long as you have your wits about you.
Here's what really bothers me: Her comment about age being a deterrent to learning new information compounds the widely held myth that old (or older) people can't learn new things. Judge Judy is an extremely influential woman - we listen to her and accept her wisdom. While she was speaking I could just picture older women who have given up on themselves, silently assenting that they too are too old to learn to use a computer, thankful to Judge Judy that she has given them permission to continue to vegetate.
She often chastises miscreants on her show, suggesting that they need an "epiphany." An epiphany, according the dictionary is a sudden realization, "a sudden intuitive leap of understanding, especially through an ordinary but striking occurrence.
"Judge Judy is not old, but her comments and demeanor make one think that she's older than her reputed 56 years. She needs an epiphany. Not just for herself, but for the countless women who look to her as a role model.
That she has others who do computer work for her is great. It frees her up to do other things. However, I suggest that she keep her brilliant super-charged brain firing on all cylinders as she enters her older years by learning to use a computer. Other than doing crossword puzzles, I can think of nothing more challenging than doing battle with a dumb machine that makes you think far more intensely than you can imagine.
For example, remembering passwords is a major pain. I keep a log of passwords for handy reference, but I don't refer to it until and unless I am stumped when trying to log into a password protected page or program. I constantly surprise myself that I can remember so many different passwords. For me, that is a major benefit of using a computer - the constant challenge to remember what I want to remember.
Age be damned, Judge Judy! You are too old to learn only when you say you are. Get a new attitude, Your Honor!

Anti Aging Tips and Tricks

Add a calcium supplement or be sure to get enough calcium through your diet. For women over age 50 and men over 65, take a total of 1,500 milligrams per day (1,000 milligrams a day for med aged 60 to 65). Be sure and take calcium in divided doses so that it is fully absorbed. Buy a product that has equal percentages of the daily value for copper and zinc.
Choose a multivitamin that contains little or no iron. Take your multivitamin and antioxidant supplements with meals or low-fat snacks to get the full benefit of fat and water soluble vitamins. Buy dairy products that are fortified with vitamin D.
Do not take doses larger than those recommended by experts or without approval from your doctor. Don't increase your consumption of supplements without checking with your doctor first, especially if you are on other medications. Towel-dry your face - This helps remove heaped-up dead cells and allows healthy young cells to reach the surface.
Towel upward, against the pull of gravity. Be brisk but gentle; the towel will do a great job with almost no pressure. Your face may glow briefly from the exfoliation, but don't worry, you're helping your skin, not hurting it. Many of the ways we age are determined by genetics, but researchers now know that lifestyle choices, for example, what you eat, how you exercise, whether you're able to relax, can help minimize these effects on the brain.
While a poor diet can have detrimental effects on memory, a healthful one can certainly be of benefit to the brain, in other words eating healthy certainly won’t hurt. While creams, serums and supplements promise to erase wrinkles, lighten age spots, and sooth age-related dryness, experts say the simplest (and least expensive) way to keep your skin healthy and younger looking is to stay out of the sun.
Antioxidant rich foods, such as colorful vegetables and berries, have been shown to help protect against sun damage at the cellular level and can slow the aging of cells. An active lifestyle can help you maintain strength, flexibility, endurance and balance and let you age gracefully.
Filling up on so-called "empty calories" like refined carbohydrates taxes your body's systems and actually saps your energy reserves. Time and again, research shows that people who smoke tend to have more wrinkles than non-smokers of the same age, complexion and history of sun exposure.
This may be because the chemicals or carcinigens in cigarettes play a role in damaging the elastin in our skin.

Anti Aging Supplement on 60 Minutes

The television show 60 minutes is a very educational television show that touches upon many issues that happen around the world today. This show has done an investigation on anti aging treatments and they discovered that there are many troubling things happening in the industry including the fact that drugs have been prescribed illegally to thousands of people.
There are many hidden dangers in them including hormones like testosterone, DHEA, and the human growth hormone that is used to increase the amount of hormones that we have that usually decrease in our body when they produce hormones as we age.
Different things have been shown by the supplementation of these hormones these things include the building of muscle mass, lower amount of body fat, the reduction of wrinkles and other signs attached to aging and even strengthening bones against the unfortunate osteoporosis.
Unfortunately there are many risks attached with the long term use of these hormones. In many places the use of these drugs are illegal, 60 minutes decided to take it upon themselves to speak with people who were injecting themselves with this.
All people that they spoke to said they were quite happy with using the products and the results that they were receiving from using this hormone. With patients willing to spend thousands of dollars a month on these products it is no wonder that this anti aging industry makes billions upon billions of dollars per year and is still increasing the amount of money that they make.
Unfortunately humans are a species that are now and probably forever will be rapped up in the theory of forever looking youthful and doing anything that they can to achieve that no matter what the cost might be short term, long term money wise or health wise.

Beauty Tips - Facial Beauty Home

For a smooth, wrinkle free, supple skin, it is very important to get a facial done at least once a month. It is not necessary to always go to a beauty salon for a facial. Summer is the time to give your body the healthy tan and protect it from the horrors of sunburn, baked and dry lips and even sun-scorched skin cancer!. There are some makeup disasters that can happen in summer sun and a relaxing beach noon that we do not pay adequate attention too. Drik lots n lots of water. It your water intake is about 5-6glasses of water then increase it upto 10-12 glasses of water. Sunglasses protect your eyes but do not stop the sun from tanning the rest of your face, resulting in eyes with paler skin around it than the rest of the face. To avoid this, generously rub sunscreen with SPF 30 with a broad spectrum over your entire face. Use gel on your hair and use only the fresh razor with triple blades to shave bikini line to avoid any unsightly rashes.
People have been misled into thinking “natural” indicates good and safe and that preservatives are always bad. In fact, there are many “natural” poisons and preservatives in cosmetics that actually make them safer to use. That doesn’t mean someone with sensitive skin might not have a bad reaction to the preservatives in a cosmetic. But generally preservatives kill or at least inhibit the bacteria, mold, viruses, and other nasty things that might otherwise thrive in our cosmetics. Commercial preparations usually contain some preservative to make these products safe for use. You can also find very high-end cosmetic formulations that are packed in sterile capsules to do away with, or at least minimize, the need for preservatives.
Cleanliness is important because dust particles get stuck in the pores of the skin. Use eyeliner pencil of slate gray, warm chocolate or navy shades with a light hand. Use gel on your hair and use only the fresh razor with triple blades to shave bikini line to avoid any unsightly rashes. Warm blond and naturally medium brown hair with highlights may acquire coppery shades in sun due to oxidation.Hair color gloss can help you to achieve the shine again. Warm, sunny, bright blush can be used. Wear only natural nude shades as lip colors while going out to the beach. Moisturizer is key to keeping skin from losing its suppleness -- even if it is hot and humid. Light shade of bronzer on cheekbones and chin gives you a beautiful suntan.

Calorie Restriction: the Anti Aging Diet

Finding the secret to staying younger longer is a popular area of research. Advice on the subject ranges from things that seem like they would be common sense such as eating well and exercising often to areas that are more controversial like human growth hormone (HGH) and calorie restriction. Calorie restriction is also known as the anti aging diet; it is based on the theory that by eating far less calories humans (and other creatures) are able to slow the aging process.

The Research behind the Anti Aging Diet

The research behind the anti aging diet dates back to 1934, when scientists named Clive McCay and Mary Crowell noticed that when laboratory rats were fed all the needed nutrients but the calories in their diets were drastically cut, the rats lived up to two times as long as the rats that were not on this specialized diet. These results have proven consistent over all animals and insects tested so far with the exception of the house fly.

Some of the other organisms tested thus far include fruit flies, spiders, mice, and drosophila. Tests on primates are currently underway, but due to their long lifespan results do not yet exist. Certain tests are also being conducted on human volunteers however, due to the long lifespan of our species, these test are sill underway.

What the Anti Aging Diet Entails and Possible Side-Effects

The anti aging diet requires that the person on the diet restrict their diet on a large degree. It’s not just cutting back on a meal here and there. This brings up the possible danger of not getting the necessary nutrients a person needs to live in a healthy manner. One caveat to the anti aging diet is that the cause of why this may work is still unknown. Theories on this subject have been mostly proven false. Certain studies have claimed that the benefits of calorie restriction only benefit the young, although other studies have contradicted this claim. Generally speaking, the evidence to support or deny the claim that calorie restriction slows the aging process in humans is lacking. Further studies must be completed before anyone can determine for certain the benefits and risk of this type of program.Alternative MethodsThere are alternatives for individuals not willing to change their entire lifestyle to institute a practice that is difficult and thus far, unproven. Simply eating healthier can at the very least make ones’ quality of life improve, and likely the length of ones’ life as well. Eating a diet that is full of fruits, vegetables, red meat, fish, and chicken is one way to start. Avoiding processed foods and certain fats has been shown to improve a persons’ overall health. Whatever diet a person decides to pursue, exercise still remains an important element to staying healthy and living longer as well.

Anti-Aging Fruits And Vegetables

It's a wondrous thing, how the human body is meant to heal and restore itself. Cuts heal themselves, infections can be cleared up on their own, and even broken bones mend and repair. And when it comes fighting the effects of time, there are actually anti-aging fruits and vegetables that actually work. They may not be miracle pills that you can take when you're 80 and expect to live forever, but it is true that many persons today are living longer than they ever did before, and it may be partly due to what scientists and doctors are finding out about how our bodies actually work. We now know more about how the things we put into our mouths affect our systems overall, including the aging process. By following a diet rich in anti-aging fruits and vegetables, a person can not only extend their life, they can also look great as they age as well!
Those that are high in Vitamin C seem to be the best anti-aging fruits and vegetables. Vitamin C is a natural healer than boosts the body's immune system. Higher levels of Vitamin C have been linked to reduced risks of heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, diabetes, and certain cancers in both men and women.
Anti-aging fruits and vegetables should also contain high amounts of Vitamin D, which is important for healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin D is produced naturally when we are exposed to sunlight, but it's said that when we reach our 70's, we are producing only about 40% of the Vitamin D our bodies need.
Anti-oxidants, the elements that our bodies use to fight free radicals or the agents that damage healthy cells, are also necessary as we age and are found in all anti-aging fruits and vegetables. These anti-oxidants help our body's to repair themselves from the inside out.
So with all that being said, what are the best anti-aging fruits and vegetables? Obviously citrus fruits as they contain high amounts of Vitamin C. This includes oranges, tangerines, limes, and grapefruits. Bananas, strawberries, blueberries and apples are also high in many vitamins. Cantaloupe, peaches and apricots have those vital anti-oxidants as well.
And of course you don't want to overlook the vegetable part of anti-aging fruits and vegetables. Having a healthy digestive system is vitally important for your overall health; if your body is working hard to digest that heavy steak or spicy burrito, you're overworking your heart and lungs that are sending blood and oxygen to your stomach and intestines. Anti-aging fruits and vegetables are those with a lot of fiber that help the digestive process along. This includes all green leafy vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, and kale. Carrots, cucumbers, and celery are also crunchy, fibrous, and healthy.
It seems from most research that all fruits and vegetables can be considered "anti-aging fruits and vegetables," so there really isn't much of a need to decide whether or not to have a certain piece of fruit or whether or not to have a salad - the problem simply lies in making these great products a regular part of your diet in the first place!
Common Vitamins and over the counter products can help with aging such as Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin E, Selenium, Beta Carotene, Lycopene, L-Glutathione, Vitamin D, Green Tea, and Antioxidant.
Vitamin C, E and some forms of Vitamin A and the mineral Selenium are known to be antioxidants that help to protect the body from these free radicals.
Vitamin A is stored in the liver and fat cells of the human body and can reach toxic levels. DO NOT take more than the recommended dosage of Vitamin A.
Up to one-third of older people can no longer absorb Vitamin B from their food. Vitamin B is needed to form red blood cells and keep nerves healthy.
The mineral Selenium has been associated with a significant reduction in the incidences of lung, colorectal and prostate cancer. Good sources are fish, asparagus, brazil nuts, meat, poultry and bread.
Beta Carotene helps protect Vitamin C from oxidation, which enables it to perform at optimum efficiency. Symptoms of Beta Carotene deficiency include ache, dry dull hair, dry skin and thickened scaly skin on the palms and soles of the feet.
Lycopene is very powerful in quenching free radicals as is L-gultathione. Ultra Antioxidant allows cells to perform more efficiently with less oxygen, enabling sufficient oxygen to be utilized for the cells and organs that specifically need it.
Vitamin D is manufactured in the skin following direct exposure to sunlight. Many studies show that Vitamin D production decreases in older people and in those who are housebound. Vitamin D is needed by the body to absorb calcium, which makes your bones stronger and helps prevent factures.
Green Tea Contains antioxidants that may protect against heart disease, several types of cancer, and skin damage.
Natural antioxidants are abundant in fruits and vegetables such as, apples, blueberries, broccoli, cherries, cranberries, grapes, spinach, and Spirulina a blue-green algae.
A 2006 article in the Journal of American Medical Association suggested that by periodically restricting our caloric intake to as little as 890 calories a day, or fasting, resulted in a decrease in insulin levels and body temperatures, another two biomarkers of longevity. Restricting calories helps to eliminate the free radicals by burning off more calories than you take in thus reducing the amount of fat stored in the human body.
Skipping a meal here and there from an evolutionary point of view would be beneficial. The human body is used to going days without eating anything but today we have constant access to food and we are taking in calories all day long.

Lose Weight and Live Longer Now

The best way to diet is to focus not only on losing weight, but also on living longer while reversing the effects of aging. The majority of diets are actually dangerous and do not promote anti aging. You may lose a few pounds, but the starvation techniques and shakes end up making you look much older than you should. Here's the best way to combine weight loss with anti aging:

1. Make vegetables the mainstay of your diet. Whatever your main meals are, always include some form of vegetable in the mix. Veggies have wonderful anti aging qualities, and their perfect for weight loss. The good thing is that you can get away with eating a large amount of vegetables and not gain additional weight, while you enhance their anti aging qualities.

2. Eat raw as much as possible. If you really want to reverse the aging process, then look into eating raw foods as much as possible. Focus mainly on your vegetables to start with. Cooking veggies can get rid of some of their anti aging qualities, but by consuming them raw, you boost their benefit enormously. There are some amazing and very simple raw food recipes in the incredible anti aging manual that I recommend below.

3. Exercise. Ideally you want to combine both cardiovascular exercise and weight training exercise into your lose weight and live longer plan. This can be done very simply, by performing 30 minutes of walking or biking 3 times a week. For the weights, you can purchase a pair of dumbbells and perform strengthening exercises 2-3 times a week. By combining both of these you will lose fat much faster, while speeding up the anti aging process.

Here's an excellent manual to follow for anti aging and weight loss - http://www.squidoo.com/anti-aging-exercise

Following the techniques and food recommendations you will immediately be on your way towards a longer and leaner life - http://www.squidoo.com/anti-aging-exercise

Graceful Aging

The "Fountain of Youth" is what we are all looking for - right? Has anyone really discovered the secret to Agelessness? Well modern medicine, nutrition and the development of mind/body medicine is certainly helping us get closer to finding the elixir. I have always said "you get old when you stop going for it no matter what your age". It means stay active both in mind, body and spirit.

Many of us nearing our 40s and 50s are thinking about decline - seeing our parents succumb to debilitating diseases requiring a multitude of medications and hospital stays. We scream "no no - that's not for me - I know better I am going to take of myself"! afterall the baby boomers believe they invented spas and leisure time although we clearly have also created a living breathing example of high stress. Isn't simplicity less stressful on us overall? Well boredom can cause decline as well.

Many adults want to get back to what they were in their 20s and 30s. I also know some people over 50 who are actually in better shape now than when they were younger. Whether its fear of aging, losing function, feeling it may be your last chance or having more time and income, taking better care of yourself can start today. Whatever the reason its never too late to start the healthy habits and perhaps reverse the ravages of time.

Neuroscientists are now discovering, contrary to popular belief, that the brain is actually capable of expanding as we age - making us not only much smarter as we get older but also our brain capacity is also increased in the areas of creativity, mood stabilization, etc. and yes even memory.

Healthy Eating

This cannot be overemphasized we are not only what we eat but what we digest. Fruits and vegetables should be your mainstay - at lease 6-9 ½ cup servings per day. You must also add a good amount of high quality protein - fish, chicken, turkey, eggs, some dairy and red meat.
Appropriate daily amounts are often determined by body weight and exercise levels. Include good healthy fats and foods that contain them daily - olive oil , nuts and seeds, avocados. Missing meals or eating too much in one sitting is not an option if you want to stay healthy and ageless.
Balance your blood sugar and stress hormones throughout the day by eating 3 meals a day and 1 or 2 healthy snacks. Try and maintain a healthy weight as well. Extra weight can affect how you look and feel inside and out. Avoid fad diets that cause you to gain and lose, gain and lose.

Exercise

Choose something you enjoy. Dancing, golf, Even horse backing, scuba diving you name it. Case in point: Sister Marion Irvine of San Raphael started running at 47. She was overweight and smoked two packs a day and took up running looking for a way to relax. In 1984, she qualified for the US Olympic Trials in the marathon by running 2:51 at the age of 54, becoming the oldest to ever qualify. We hear these stories all the time . Why not take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves to us - joining the running club, start a yoga practice or getting your husband off the couch or out of the office and take to the ballroom floor.

Antioxidants and other Essential Nutrients

This will help with your healthy aging goal. Although anti aging connotes we are against aging - no aging is inevitable - its healthy aging we are after. Antioxidants like CoQ10, NAC, Vitamin C, E and Alpha Lipoic Acid. All are very important powerhouses of nutrients that help our cells stay healthy despite the daily potential of damaging free radicals which oxidize (age) our cells and tissue.

Calcium a good microcrystalline source which is more easily used by the body and Vitamin D are essential to health. Don't forget lubrication for those healthy bones and joints - how about a wonderful Omega 3 Fish oil supplement? Make sure your fish oil is a high quality one that you can purchase from your nutritionist or your health care provider.

A good probiotic and digestive enzymes are also helpful in maintaining proper digestion. And for poor bowel function try using a magnesium supplement alone, not combined with other minerals such as Calcium, to help with bowl function. Or you can try an auyvedic herb combination called Triphala which also proves beneficial for good bowel function. When we age we often begin to feel sluggish a proper detoxification program helps the body function better - sort of like getting and oil change and tune up.

To help support brain wellness Phosphatidylcholine and Phosphatidyl Serine, gingko and fish oil are well known for their effects on brain function and memory. As we age we also increase our stress which takes a toll on our mind and body. A good B complex and adrenal support formula which often contain ginseng and licorice may be helpful.

Healthy Thoughts

Healthy, energized and youthful thinking helps the brain stay young and active. We often see older people who are bitter, worn out and extremely negative. Even younger people who have a negative view on life often age sooner than they should - physically and mentally. Learn to stay mentally active - reading, taking courses, socializing with positive, uplifting people. Try and stay away from the news - most of it is depressing and negative. Norman Cousins - journalist and well known pioneer in positive thinking - diagnosed with heart disease was able to alleviate his pain and subsequently prolonged his life by watching funny movies. Now there's a thought - can laughing make us healthier? You bet. Much research is also presently being done on the positive effects of prayer on health and healing.

Some Facts About Antiaging Eye Cream And Under Eye Dark Circles

In pursuit of youthful beauty throughout the years, people have used many types of anti-aging eye creams. Although creams never permanently stop aging, they provide temporary relief to several skin problems that come along with aging, especially eliminating wrinkles or removing dark circles under the eyes. With continuous use, an antiaging product like an under eye dark circle cream, seems to work wonders and you can maintain that desired youthful look. That is almost certainly why many people swear by their helpfulness.

Women have been battling the problem of aging skin throughout the centuries. It is documented that Cleopatra bathed in milk and honey to help her maintain a youthful looking skin. However women still find themselves facing the same dilemma even now. Wrinkles and dark circles are the most common problems, and finding the best eye wrinkle cream seems to be their only hope.

In the same way that we inherit traits from our parents, dark circles are hereditary. People inherit many physical traits from their parents such as weak blood capillaries which cause blood to pool under the eyes. This is caused by genes passed down to by the parents.

Some other factors outside of heredity can cause your eyes to develop dark circles. These should also be considered because to remove dark circles under the eyes you need not only the best eye wrinkle cream or under eye dark circle cream, but you also must know all the various causes of under eye dark circle so you can get to the root of the problem and drastically slow down the aging process.

If you are the only person in your family that has under eye dark circle, instead of thinking that you have it because it is adopted, and you can't do anything about it, you just might be having a bad case of allergies.

Allergies activate histamines which affect the capillaries under the eyes which cause that 'dark smudge' look around the eyes. Doctors have noted that even children can get under eye dark circle as a symptom from allergies.

Rubbing your eyes because they are itching from an allergy can also cause darkening under your eyes. If you rub them very hard, the friction makes them even darker.

Of course dark circles appear as we age. The skin thins out with age which make the blood engorged capillaries more obvious.

The sun causes the Melanin that is present in our skin to reach high levels under sun excessive sun exposure. Then this causes the already dark area around our eyes to become even darker.
An old wives' tale says lack of sleep and fatigue causes dark circles under the eyes. Actually all that does is just emphasize the discoloration since lack of sleep and fatigue usually makes you look pale.

It is very important to get enough sleep and rest so you can boost your adrenaline level, which is important for your kidneys to function at top efficiency. This could be a factor for your blood vessels to function normally and prevent a pooling of blood and darkening at certain spots under your eyes.

A definite contributing factor to darkening of the area around the eyes is a poor dietary plan, although it does not directly cause under eye dark circle. You have to eat the proper food so the right vitamins needed by the body are met. Your diet shows through your skin, especially through where it is thinnest which is around the eyes. Changing your diet may definitely help to remove the dark circles under the eyes.

No matter what the cause, the best way to heal your skin is to be observant and knowable of what your skin needs to be healthy. Then take action and do it! One of the main requirements is to use anti-wrinkle and antiaging eye creams.

Using Anti-Aging and Anti-Wrinkle Cream to Cleanse Your Face

Using your anti-aging or anti-wrinkle cream properly requires some basic skin care knowledge, especially if you have decided to try a new product or brand.

Before you start the skin cleansing process you will want to assemble a few items. You will want to get some cotton balls (or a disposable facial cleansing cloth), a soft towel, and your products together. If your products do not contain sun screen you will want to have some of that handy as well.

The first thing you will need to do is to clean your skin. To clean your skin properly you will need to use a facial scrub or a moisturizer. Apply the moisturizer or scrub in small circles all over your face. Rub it in gently and make sure to cover your entire face (though you will want to be careful around your eyes, nostrils and mouth). You will not want to rub the product all the way into your skin, you will want it to penetrate just enough to grab the dirt and relax your pores to allow for deeper cleansing.

Once you have rinsed off your facial scrub or moisturizer you will give your face a little massage. Make sure to massage your face with the pads of your fingers. You don't need any fancy massage tools for this step. Your face is very sensitive and massage tools often do more damage than good.

After you massage your face, you will want to give it another rinse, to rinse away any dirt or oil that might have been transferred from your fingers. After rinsing, dry your face with a soft towel by patting the towel gently on your face. Avoid a rubbing motion and avoid any fabric that is rough or coarse. These can scratch the skin.

Once your skin is dry, you will apply a toner (make sure it is alcohol free) with the cotton balls or the disposable facial cleansing cloth. Toner reduces the size of your pores, gets rid of dry skin and fights ingrown hair. You will want to take care to choose a toner that is not sensitive to light.

The last steps are the application of moisturizer, sunscreen and your anti-aging and/or anti-wrinkle creams. The good news is that these products are so varied that it is often possible to find all of these components in a single product. You don't need to slop the stuff on, just a small amount each morning and night should suffice. Always make sure to read the directions carefully and avoid overusing the product.

Are You Wasting Money On Anti-Aging Skin Care Products?

I am so fed up with manufacturers and professionals trying to sell a product that will make wrinkles go away! It just seems crazy to me, especially the cream for the wrinkles around the eyes.

They say do this, do that, or this product will work! And everyone "buys" into it, wasted money, bad for the planet, and plus the damage you may be causing to your skin and body.

How many furry little bunnies had to die for your eye cream?

These skin care products may be causing you to have more wrinkles than when you first bought the product. Try stopping once you start using them and you will see what I mean.
And heaven for bid you miss an application!

These manufacturers are promising you the world, to just pad their own pockets.

To me, using these chemicals would be the same as taking a pill for high blood pressure, what happens when you stop? Ladies, you may need to get your skin and bodies conditioned to a point where you need no chemicals to achieve the look you are after.

We all have to watch how we take care of our bodies and be conscious of what we put in them, but we should also be looking out for what we put on our skin.

Save your money.

It's time to take action and learn about what you can do to slow down the aging process instead of using anti-aging products that may be only making your symptoms worse.

What is Anti Aging Nutrition?

Nutrition is extremely important to a healthy body for the duration of our lives, but it becomes even more essential as we age. Many of the poor foods we were able to digest as young people become problematic the older we get. Also, the need to keep our immune system strong and our health in balance becomes more necessary as we become more vulnerable to disease the older we get.
Anti aging nutrition is a process of getting the foods we need to stay healthy as we age.
Anti aging nutrition is really about a total healthy lifestyle. Certain supplements and foods help to reduce stress, as does exercise. Stress creates free radicals, which attack the body and sets the stage for disease development. Weight control, as well as drinking plenty of clean, pure water everyday are also essential to overall health.

Nutrition and Aging

Aging is a natural process that cannot be avoided, but can certainly be slowed. As the body ages, it becomes more and more difficult for it to absorb certain nutrients from foods. Thus, it is ever more important to eat nutrient rich foods. In the younger years, good nutrition creates optimum conditions for the body to grow, and the benefits of a nutritious diet fed to children will last throughout their lives in their ability to combat disease. There is never a time of life when good nutrition does not matter.

Foods for Anti Aging Nutrition

Part of the problem with the so-called Standard American Diet is that much of the food is acidic in nature. Coffee, soft drinks, sugar, added flavor, preserved meat and artificial sweeteners are so prevalent as to be almost unavoidable. However, these foods create high levels of acid in the body, and must be balanced with more alkaline fare. Green, leafy vegetables, like sprouts, cabbage and parsley, all produce alkali. Raw nuts, whole grains, spinach broccoli, tomatoes, berries, oranges and other citrus fruits, apples, lettuce and onions are all beneficial foods for anti aging nutrition.

Supplements for Anti Aging Nutrition

Omega 3 fatty acids, often added to foods, are a necessary part of any diet. Flax seed oil, especially from raw flax seed ground up in a coffee grinder, is an excellent part of any diet. The family of B vitamins is an important stress reducer, and should be taken daily. Garlic supplements, or raw garlic, is a powerful immune system booster that will help prevent sickness that can interfere with absorption of nutrients from food. A daily multi-vitamin is also important for anti aging nutrition.

The Need for Stress Reduction

Stress is a very common condition in modern life, and it is one of the most destructive forces at work against good health. Stress slows digestion, and impairs nutrient absorption. Stress also creates free radicals, which attack the body's proteins and impair cellular functions. Stress similarly weakens the immune system, making the body vulnerable to disease and toxins.

In order to get the most out of the food we eat, me must also reduce or eliminate stress in our lives. This is best done by getting plenty of physical exercise. Exercise allows a great deal of stress release, while also helping to balance our body weights to a proper level. The combined benefit, along with a lot of nutrient rich food, leads to a state of optimum health which slows the ravages of aging and allows us to age comfortably and gracefully.

Anti aging nutrition could also be called 'whole life nutrition', since there is never a time in life when good nutrition does not matter. A nutrient rich diet will create more energy in the body, as toxins are released and digestion improves. Proper weight levels will also be achieved, and make it easier to exercise which in turn reduces stress, which in turn makes it easier to absorb nutrients from the food. It is a complete, holistic cycle. Anti aging nutrition is an important step in feeling great everyday and avoiding disease and other effects of aging.

Doctor Endorsed AntiAging & Optimal Health Tips

Nobel Prize Research Reveals AntiAging Keys & Critical Elements Missing From Everyone's Diet - Plus How This Impacts Your Health!

Or,...How A Cell Phone Dead Zone Can Be Like Your Body.

A recent discovery explains how your 60+ trillion cells, body systems & organs communicate through glycoproteins - you can review over 20,000 articles on the far reaching & antiaging impact of these proteins by visiting pubmed.com & searching "glycoproteins".

Ironically, if your doctor began his or her practice before 2002 they are most likely completely unaware of this new health & antiaging science. This new science is called glycobiology and a whole new branch of study has been recently added to the medical textbooks - you can search the term glycobiology on the web to verify these facts.

Why is this discovery important to you, your current health & future wellness?

These special proteins are tree-like structures that are designed to cover and coat everyone of your cells and they are made with eight unique monosaccarides. These tree-like structures are what your cells use to communicate critical messages that are absolutely essential for each of us to enjoy excellent health, antiaging & immunity from illness. MIT's Technology Review (Feb. 03) stated "If you don't have any glycosylation, you don't have life."

The problem is, our modern food supply is missing 6 of the 8 needed nutrients involved in glycoprotein synthesis. You can verify this by visiting the non-profit organization, The Longevity Institute (www.longevinst.org). Click on the index & read newsletter 8B. This is a deficiency that, over time, has far reaching impact on human health, antiaging & your quality of life.

Listen,... when communication breaks down between a husband and a wife it is not pretty. Miscommunication can result in fighting when there is no real enemy (over active immune response). Breakdown in communication can also lead to failure to attack a "bad guy" (underactive immune response).

Have you ever driven through a cell dead zone and found that you can hear only every third or fourth word? How frustrating is that? Your body, without these critical nutrients, is similarly frustrated. It cannot communicate properly at the cellular level and messages break down, leading to various health challenges. There are a number of ways to "skin this antiaging cat" for your optimal health and our Free AntiAging & Wellness Newsletters explain this and more.

Couple Tips on Choosing an Anti Aging Wrinkle Cream

A popular ingredient for an anti aging wrinkle cream is retinol (or vitamin A). While retinol is generally considered to be a powerful weapon against them, it has also shown to cause sensitivity in some people, leading to skin reactions. This effect is often achieved by the presence of skin irritants that cause the skin to contract, resulting in a temporary smoothing of fine lines.

Due to the nature of these irritants, they quickly re-appear. It is therefore better to measure the effectiveness of a product by looking at changes in the skin over the span of several weeks.
Of all the products you can slap on your face, wrinkle creams are the ones that will hit your pocket the hardest. Barring Botox and surgery, they could be a less drastic way to keeping those cheeks baby smooth. Recently there's been a revolution in how they work.

Both men and women do not appreciate getting wrinkles. This is the reason why many individuals look for Amino Genesis skin care product to prevent any development. As you age, your skin loses its elasticity and that's why we get them. Skin types are very important when finding the right Amino Genesis, as using a product that's not for you can cause you to break out or it could cause more damage which will actually make you look older than you are.

The number one surgical therapy for wrinkles in the United States today is Botox One of them is DDF's Wrinkle Relax, a favorite of beauty editors and certain celebrities. It can be used as a reparative or preventative treatment. It is ideal for skin that is not yet experiencing significant signs of aging and will firm and minimize the depth of current lines on older skin.

Sunscreen is the most effective anti-aging therapy available and a sunscreen with full-spectrum UVA/UVB protection and an SPF of 15 or greater can help prevent them too.

Make Your Own Anti Aging Creams

There are hundreds of anti-aging products on the drugstore shelves. All of the lotions, potions, creams, toners, moisturizers, and exfoliating for you skin have one thing in common and that is a hefty price tag. Why purchase anti aging lotions when you can make your own right in your kitchen?
Anti aging skin care products fall into several categories, cleaning or exfoliating, moisturizing, and repair. If you have a favorite commercial product that you like then read the label on the jar and look for the active ingredients. You man not know what Hydroquinone is or what it does but with a little research in the internet you can find out that it is used to reduce age spots on the skin by inhabiting melanin production. Melanin is the chemical in you skin that is responsible for tanning.
Cleaning or exfoliating of the skin is the first step in a skin anti aging regiment. Get rid of dead skin cells by exfoliating regularly. You can use crushed sea salt, oatmeal or cornmeal for this. Citrus fruits are also ideal as they help to break down the dead cells. Lemons will make your face will sting slightly but the results are worth it!
Safflower oil doubles as both cooking oil and a natural antioxidant when applied to the skin to moisturize it. Avocado oil can also be used as a skin moisturizer. Both oils can be used as a base to add other ingredients to. Keeping your skin properly moisturized is the best way to make sure it does not age prematurely. Oils are actually more easily absorbed than creams as well.
Most of us have an Aloe Vera plant in the kitchen area and we use it to treat burns. If it can repair damage skin tissue then will also repair the damage to the skin from the aging process. Aloe Vera will help rejuvenate and tone skin all over. A naturally cooling gel, the Aloe Vera botanical ingredients work together to stimulate the blood circulation and naturally soften the skin.
When make your own anti aging creams successfully it will take some time exploring which ingredients are right for you. As with any store bought anti aging cream, home made ones can irritate your skin if they are particularly sensitive, and it's best to try a patch test for any new ingredient you are going to try. Try some different combinations to see what works best for your skin tone. Always select fresh products to gain the most vitamins and minerals as you can from them. This is one of the best advantages to making creams at home.
You will need to incorporate an internal as well as an external anti aging skin treatment for a balanced approach to the problem. After all, why would you put a nice fresh coat of paint on a rusted car? It may look good for a short time but it will not last long.
Common Vitamins and over the counter products can help with aging skin such as Beta Carotene, Butterbur, Green Tea, Olbas, and Salicylic Acid.
Beta Carotene helps protect Vitamin C from oxidation, which enables it to perform at optimum efficiency. Symptoms of Beta Carotene deficiency include ache, dry dull hair, dry skin and thickened scaly skin on the palms and soles of the feet.
Butterbur is a common herbal extract that is highly effective asthma therapy. As far back as the 17th century, butterbur was used to treat cough, asthma, and skin wounds.
Green Tea contains antioxidants that may protect against heart disease, several types of cancer, and skin damage. The used tea bags are good for the dark circles under the eyes.
Olbas is used to increase the circulation in skin by opening up the skin pores. Olbas oil has been used for its healing properties in cultures around the world for centuries.
Salicylic Acid also helps breakdown blackheads and whiteheads. It also helps cut down the shedding of cells lining the hair follicles clogging the pores of the skin. Salicylic acid is used as a mild abrasive to chemically exfoliate the skin to encourage the peeling of the top layer and to prevent a build-up of dead skin cells which combine with the oil to block pores.

Anti Aging and Human Growth Hormone

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is produced by the pituitary gland in the brain. The highest levels of HGH is produced during adolescence but between the ages of 21 and 30 the level of HGH being produced is markedly reduce by as much as 1.4 percent per year. By the age of 40 it can be down as much as 50 percent.
Dr. Daniel Rudman, M.D., of the Medical College Of Wisconsin conducted research on the effects of HGH in 1991. He concluded that HGH could reduce body fat, increase muscle tone, boost your energy level, reduce wrinkle, improve sleep, improve sex drive, improve the immune system, lower cholesterol levels, and improve memory.
There have been many research programs since then that have shown medical evidence that the decline of HGH is linked to many of the symptoms we associate with old age. Increased body fat, decreased energy, poor sex drive, decrease in muscle mass, poor functions of the immune system, loss of hair color, decreased skin elasticity, poor eyesight, loss of bone density, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and joint pain. Many believe that HGH can turn back the clock 10 to 20 years and that it is Cosmetic Surgery in a Bottle or the Fountain of Youth.
Growth hormone or GH has been used for years as a valid medical treatment for certain growth hormone deficiencies in children. The term HGH, or human growth hormone, is a very common name is now being seen in marketing campaigns for anti aging products.
Three organs in the human body mainly control the production of HGH. The pituitary gland in the brain, secrete the hormone into the blood stream. HGH travels to the liver, which is encouraged to product a hormone called Insulin-like Growth Factor. A majority of the beneficial effects of the HGH is actually due to the IGF acting on its target cells. The Insulin-like Growth Factor in the blood stream caused the pituitary to stop or reduce the output of HGH.
The Hypothalamic is also a gland in the brain that produces a peptide that stimulates the synthesis and the secretion of the HGH by the pituitary gland. The Hypothalamic gland functions as the main control center of the autonomic nervous system and it controls the hormonal secretions of the pituitary gland. Somatostatin is a peptide produced by the Hypothalamic gland the inhibits the release of HGH by the pituitary. Usually in response to low blood glucose levels.
The stomach secrets a hormone called Ghrelin and it potently stimulates the secretion of HGH. Ghrelin levels in the blood stream increase before meals and decrease after meals and is believed to be involved with feeling of hunger or satiation. If you eat a lot of small meals then the level of ghrelin in the blood stream is always low.
It is a violation of Federal Law to sell any product that contains natural HGH without a prescription. So what are you getting when you purchase a product that has HGH on the label? HGH releasers, HGH precursors, HGH secretagogues, contain nothing more than amino acid supplements and are just trying to capitalize on the popularity of HGH at highly inflated prices and they do not contain any Human Growth Hormone.
Growth hormone is currently approved and marketed for enhancing milk production in dairy cattle. Administration of bovine somatotropin to lactating cows results in increased milk yield. However, this treatment engenders abundant controversy among dairy farmers. Drinking milk from cattle treated with bovine growth hormone does not pose a risk to human health.
Another application of growth hormone in animal agriculture is treatment of growing pigs with porcine growth hormone. Such treatment has been demonstrated to significantly stimulate muscle growth and reduce deposition of fat.
Many products claim to have the ability to raise a person's levels of HGH naturally. These claims have not been proven scientifically. Anti aging HGH replacements should be taken seriously however, as they do have the potential to cause side effects.
The reported side effects of HGH include an increase in blood pressure, fluid retention, carpal tunnel syndrome, insulin resistance, diabetes, and joint pain. Although anti aging HGH seems to have some benefits, consumers must be wary to research the actual degree of the benefits and weigh that against the potential side effects.
